Celebrating all children everywhere
JUST ONE HOUR OF YOUR INCOME ONCE A YEAR CAN CHANGE A CHILD'S LIFE FOREVER!
World Children’s Day and its campaign - Children’s Hour stands as a significant occasion, an annual tribute to all children and the innocence and joy of childhood, celebrated worldwide on varying dates across more than 150 nations. Born from the adoption of The Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the United Nations on November 20, 1954, it stands as a beacon of our universal commitment to the welfare and rights of every child. Yet, despite its significance, Children’s Day has often lingered in the shadows, largely unrecognized.
ONE Single hour's INCOME,
ONCE A YEAR,
TO create A LIFETIME
OF opportunities
FOR CHILDREN.
This is a rallying call to elevate World Children’s Day into a global movement to shine a light on children’s hopes, ideas and aspirations - to amplify all children’s voices, and showcase their bold dreams and stories while also raising awareness of the plight of at-risk children around the world. This movement transcends borders and cultures, uniting all of us in a shared mission to honour, protect, and empower our youngest citizens throughout the year, creating futures.
Imagine if all of us invested one single hour of our income, once a year, devoted to the next generation’s potential. This commitment would make a lasting difference for our children and every child, everywhere.
It is not just a day of celebration, but a catalyst for change. The Children’s Hour campaign aims to bring us all together to first of all remind us of the importance of our children, and secondly, to challenge the world’s biggest problems that keep children from being able to reach their full potential — poverty, conflict, food insecurity, the equality of young girls and women, the protection of Indigenous communities, and the global mental health crisis.
By inspiring next-generation leaders, business leaders and corporations, countries and governments, and the general public, we can all work together to ensure World Children’s Day is not just a date on the calendar, but the greatest world-changing global movement acknowledging, celebrating and investing in all of children all year long.
WORLD CHILDREN’S DAY - A reminder
THAT CHILDREN ARE not only OUR FUTURE BUT ALSO OUR PRESENT.
